Fall has arrived which marks a few things: beautiful colors, cooler weather, tasty treats, and unfortunately, more pests trying to get inside your warm, cozy home.
There are hundreds of products to keep critters and insects out of your safe space, but most of these contain harmful chemicals that are bad for you, leave nasty odors and can also damage your home furnishings.
Fortunately, Essential Oils are all-natural, safe to inhale, and are super effective repellents. We have come up with an easy-to-make spray that can help keep insects such as ants, spiders, ticks and stink bugs, as well as mice, out of your home this Fall.
This recipe calls for four of the most beneficial Essential Oils for repelling these pests: Peppermint, Rosemary, Lavender, and Tea Tree. We recommend using our Organic AromaSource Essential Oils.
In a 4oz Spray Bottle, add-in :
- 18 drops Lavender Essential Oil
- 15 drops Tea Tree Essential Oil
- 15 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
- 12 drops Rosemary Essential Oil
Fill the rest of the bottle with water and shake well before each use. When using, simply spray around windows and doorways to create a natural, invisible barrier to help keep your home pest-free. In addition, this spray smells great!
These same Essential Oils blend great in a diffuser to give your home an uplifting, earthy smell, perfect for Autumn. Give it a try and let us know what you think!
